August 18th
Back by popular demand, our Pot Luck dinners return. Meet us in the fields at North Fork Flower Farm to enjoy dinner with a sunset view.
September 23rd
Walk and wine at Landcraft Garden Foundation. SFEE returns for an evening of delicious nibbles, wine tasting, garden and art tour.
October 22nd
Sour Power, a collaboration with Jamesport Farmstead, a no-till organic farm that is growing the cabbage for our educational, hands-on harvest celebration of the mighty cabbage. Join us at their Main Road farm stand where Slow Food board member, Chef Peter Berley (shown below) will demonstrate how to make Sauerkraut using traditional tools. Come learn more about the basics of fermenting, truly a slow food process, using a vegetable that has been farmed on Long Island for over 200 years.
